Physiotherapist

I qualified in 2014, graduating from Coventry University and initially gained a wide range of experience in rotational and Senior Physiotherapist roles within the NHS. I worked in diverse settings including ITU, respiratory, stroke rehabilitation and trauma and orthopaedics before specialising in Musculoskeletal Outpatients. I am also a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE).

I joined Academia in 2018, firstly with the University of Worcester where I achieved Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. In May 2023, I joined Birmingham Newman University assisting them with the launch of their new physiotherapy course. As Senior Lecturer, I enjoy a key role in the education of student Physiotherapists and contributing to the future development of the profession. I understand and value evidence-based practice to ensure the latest research is integrated into client care, whilst ensuring collaboration with each person to ensure their individual needs and goals are met.

A keen runner, cyclist, and triathlete I have completed numerous marathon and ultra-marathon distances and have previously represented Great Britain at European level in age-group duathlon. I have clinical interests in health promotion and pre/post rehabilitation of sports and overuse injuries.

“Please can you pass on my thanks to Becky. I saw her regarding my plantar fasciitis. On her recommendation I went through the couch to 5k program.”

“My foot is 95% fine and I’ve just completed the 9 week program and back to regular running once more. Maybe I’ll be joining the Alcester running group in 2023! – DG”

“I can totally recommend Becky at Revival. I had a broken leg and post operation (plates and screws), was unable to walk unaided. 12 weeks later I am walking and able to do all the things I was able to do prior to my accident. Becky has talked me through the reasoning behind the issues I’ve had which has helped me understand how important it is to be consistent with the exercises she has given me. She has also manipulated my leg to relieve the stiffness and lack of movement. I can’t say enough about the kindness and treatment she has delivered. Becky will be my first port of call should I ever need physiotherapy again! – L.W.P”
