On my return to the U.K. I spent several years working in the private sector for Nuffield Health, one of the largest private medical providers in the country.
Following this I moved to the NHS where I worked as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner and Clinical Specialist (Extended Scope Practitioner) within an integrated team of Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Pain Consultants for several years.
My last role within the NHS was a Spinal Orthopaedic Practitioner at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, where I assessed complex neck and back pain and reviewed their suitability for spinal injections as well as conservative treatments. It was with a heavy heart that I left the NHS in September 2019 to concentrate on managing and running a thriving private practice that I successfully opened in September 2018.
I also have a clinical interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation and have completed advanced training to assess and rehabilitate people with dizziness and balance disorders.
I completed my Masters in Acupuncture in 2017, achieving a distinction and winning the U.K. prize with the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM). I decided to train as an Acupuncturist alongside full-time employment after seeing the physical and psychological benefits of acupuncture when treating pain conditions with physiotherapy patients since 2006.
I am evidence based in my treatment approach as a Physiotherapist and Acupuncturist and I attend regular training courses to maintain and progress my professional development.
I am a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with a special Interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR).
In my spare time I love having fun with my two young children, walking my naughty Labradors and running aorund the country lanes. I have recently started piano lessons which I thoroughly enjoy.
Claire is absolutely amazing I can’t praise her enough! I had L4 nerve damage and was in absolute agony and Claire sorted me out completely. My mom had a very bad break to her femur and was worried she would never walk again and Claire completely sorted her out too. Claire is so professional and her knowledge is unbelievable, she is so calm, confident, kind, patient and reassuring we would never go anywhere else. We feel so lucky to have found her! – KH
