Stress is something that we all face in life, and while some of it is good, it needs to be managed. Left rampant, chronic stress can lead to anxiety and depression as well as being the cause of aches and pains and a range of physical illnesses.

My name is Alan Muskett, and I am a qualified Mindfulness teacher and Hypnotherapist. I help clients learn techniques which they can apply to calm their nervous systems, reduce their stress and anxieties to live more content and confident lives.

Managing Stress at Work – Building Resilience to Thrive

Millions of us are suffering from exhaustion and depression because of burnout at work. I use mental resilience coaching and a range of effective tools to give self-protection from the stresses and demands of work, so that you can thrive in your job or career. This is far better than allowing yourself to fall over mentally. I know what that’s like because I have been there in the past. Having access to these tools and building the right habits radically alters your enjoyment of work as well as personal performance.

Managing Pain with the Mind

Pain is a signal from the body that something is wrong, that it is under threat. Pain is real and has an initial cause, but chronic pain – the kind that lingers for months even after the body has healed – is often a symptom of a disrupted nervous system. The mind habituates to receiving the same alarm signals as before and interprets them as pain even if the root cause is fixed, and so it continues.

I use relaxation techniques to interrupt these patterns so that the nervous system can reset, resulting in reduced discomfort and a more pleasant and active life.
